Privacy policy

Giddy Spam Shield exists to block spam, not to collect your life. Here is exactly what the service sees and what it never sees.

What never leaves your phone

• Your contacts. The app checks whether a caller or texter is in your contacts on the phone itself. Contact names and numbers are never uploaded, never synced, never seen by our servers.
• Calls and texts from people you know. If a sender is in your contacts, the app passes them through immediately and sends nothing to the server — not even the number.

What the service sees

• Numbers of unknown callers, sent to the server to check against your lists and the shared spam database.
• Texts from unknown senders — the sender's number and message text are sent to the server so AI can classify them. Only the first 160 characters are kept in your activity log.
• Your account email via the shared Giddy Digs sign-in (Clerk), and the devices you pair.
• Your reports. Marking a number "spam" or "not spam" is stored to build your personal lists and — anonymously, as a count — the shared spam database.

The shared spam database

Reports from all agents feed a shared reputation list of spam numbers. Other users can see that a number is blocked and how many agents reported it — never who reported it.

AI processing

Texts from unknown senders are classified using Anthropic's Claude API. Message content is sent for classification only and is not used to train models.

Retention & deletion

Activity events and classification logs are kept to power your dashboard. Revoke a device anytime from the dashboard; to delete your account and data, email joe@giddydigs.com.

No selling, no ads

Your data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for anything except blocking spam.
