Cutting spam on iPhone
Apple only allows call and text filtering through apps published on the App Store, so the Spam Shield app is Android-only for now — an iPhone version is on the roadmap. In the meantime, these built-in iPhone settings get you most of the way:
Filter unknown senders (texts)
Settings → Apps → Messages → Unknown & Spam → turn on Filter Unknown Senders. Texts from people not in your contacts land silently in a separate list — no buzz, no banner.
Silence unknown callers
Settings → Apps → Phone → Silence Unknown Callers. Calls from numbers you've never interacted with go straight to voicemail. Heads-up for agents: this also silences brand-new leads calling for the first time — many agents prefer to leave this one off and rely on carrier spam screening instead.
Keep your contacts complete
Both filters key off your contacts, so the more clients and colleagues you have saved, the better they work.
Report what slips through
Long-press a spam text → Report Junk (deletes and reports it). Block repeat offenders from their contact card. You can also forward spam texts to 7726 — your carrier's free spam-reporting line.
Turn on your carrier's screening
All three major carriers have a free spam-call screen: AT&T ActiveArmor, T-Mobile Scam Shield, Verizon Call Filter. Grab yours from the App Store and turn on automatic spam blocking.
