Install Spam Shield on Android
Takes about three minutes. iPhone? See the iPhone guide — a full iPhone app is coming later.
Download the app on your phone
Your phone will warn about installing apps from outside the Play Store — that's expected for now. Tap the downloaded file, allow your browser to install unknown apps when prompted, and install.
Pair it to your account
On your dashboard tap Pair a new phone, then type the 8-character code into the app.
Grant the three permissions
The app walks you through them: call screening (lets it reject spam calls before your phone rings), notification access (lets it silence spam texts), and contacts (so people you know always get through — your contacts never leave your phone). Also allow it to ignore battery optimization so Android doesn't put it to sleep.
What to expect with texts: spam texts are silenced, not deleted. Your phone won't buzz and no notification appears, but the message still exists quietly in your Messages app if you go looking. The very first text from a brand-new spammer can buzz for a second before it's silenced — after that, they're blocked instantly.
Never miss a lead: if the filter isn't sure, or your phone is offline, everything comes through normally. Check your dashboard anytime to see what was blocked and un-block with one tap.
